Our Process

Installing tiles precisely and cleanly is harder than you might think, especially if it’s not done by professionals. It needs proper planning, preparation, and some step-by-step rules to follow and we do it without any issues. Of course, our true work starts right after you’ve gotten an appointment and schedule preferred only by you.

Surface Preparation

Our first stage of work involves making the surface where the tiles will be installed clean and dry. And not to mention smoothening it up so that the installation goes properly without having to try multiple times. We take some time to make patches and repairs to level any kind of uneven areas before the main work starts. We check multiple times to make sure the area is also free of grease or wax. We carefully remove moldings and trim the area so that it doesn’t interfere with our installations.

Layouts

We use precision tools to mark and measure the center point of all the walls in the room so that the process becomes more efficient. It is absolutely necessary to make our measurements as precise as possible so that the intersections of the tiles are perfect squares. When we’re dealing with larger rooms, we mostly divide each section into smaller grids for the most accuracy and convenience.

Adhesive

There are some strict rules we have to follow before applying adhesives so that the tiles can stick properly and not just wobble around. We always make sure to remove the excess adhesive from the tiles. We also make sure that the spread area isn’t too large and it has to be set within 15-20 minutes. We then repeat these steps with these rules for every tile and that’s how we facilitate our perfect tile installations with the proper adhesive application.

Cutting

We use precision tools and tile cutters to pinpoint both straight and diagonal tile cuts so that they are of the perfect size for fitting on your property. We definitely wouldn’t want to mess around with unprecise or dull cutting tools and inaccurately cut tile placements.

Setting Up

Now that most of the bigger steps are done properly including smoothening up the surface, proper layout, adhesive application, and cutting the tiles accurately, we then move on to the actual installation of the tiles. We start installing them from the center of the room to avoid any improperness. When we’re done with a grid, we tap in all tiling with a hammer or woodblock to make sure they’re done right. Then we finish it up by removing excessive adhesive with putty knives from the joints. And last but not least, we recommend keeping the surface untouched for 24 hours so that the tiles can fully cure and set in their places. Then we polish and rinse the surface as needed.
