Board & Train

We are well aware of the fact that all dogs are not the same. If your dog seems aggressive or harsh towards others, the best way to change this behavior is to start an intense, one-on-one form of training. We cannot obtain desired results if we use force to change their attitude towards others.

Even though the course is intense, we assure you that we will not use force or unwanted pressure on your dog to do any task. Once you have joined, our trainers will begin with attention-improving classes that include outdoor activities and socialization.

This session will be very beneficial in changing their behavior. We will transform your dog into a well-trained and well-groomed canine buddy by the end of this session.

More About Dog Boarding

We understand that dog boarding can be tough for a pup. They aren’t sure where they are, they are away from home and, most importantly, they are away from their human! With all of this in mind, we’ve designed our dog boarding program to meet the needs of each and every dog that stays the night with us—from their physical to their emotional needs.

In order to ensure your dog’s happiness, we keep them occupied and we provide them with plenty of positive attention. They are given ample opportunity to burn off energy, run around, play, exercise, and socialize with other dogs.

A major part of our boarding approach is a focus on walks. We understand that each dog has their own needs when it comes to their walks, and we tailor each walk to meet the needs of the specific dog. We also make sure to give them plenty of time to sniff around, stretch their legs, and potty.

In order to board your pup, we’ll need current vaccination records and written proof of DHLPP and Bordetella before check-in. If your pup is over four months old, we’ll also need rabies vaccination records. This is for the protection of our staff and our other furry guests.

consider these things when you are preparing for your pet’s stay:

· Bedding
· A feeding schedule
· Your dog’s favorite food and treats
· Your pup’s favorite toys and blankets
· Kennel crate (if properly trained)

Your dog is going to have an amazing time staying with us while you are away!

Obedience Training

Obedience training is one of the most important parts of dog ownership. While you may think it’s a nice idea to give your dog freedom to do whatever they want, this simply isn’t the case. Dogs aren’t people, and they shouldn’t be expected to have the same decision-making skills. Your dog is going to make mistakes, and without obedience training these mistakes will be exponentially worse…

A disciplined dog will know what they should and shouldn’t do, and they’ll be able to stop bad behaviors on command. Not only is this helpful for small things like jumping up or getting in the trash, but it can also be a lifesaver if your dog decides to be unfriendly with someone.

Our obedience training program is built around giving your dog the tools they need to be safe and happy, while also empowering you by teaching you to give commands with confidence.

The Training Process

While there are different theories when it comes to dog training, we’ve found that getting the basics down first is the most effective way to train. When you bring your pup in, we start by working basic commands (even if they know them). We drill these commands until your dog listens and performs the commands when asked to.

Some other things we focus on include:

· Mental stimulation
· Socialization
· Exercise
· Breaking bad habits

There are certain behaviors that your dog shouldn’t be doing that can be annoying or even dangerous. We make sure to address and stop these behaviors before they become a serious problem.

Some of the negative behaviors we address include:

· Excessive barking
· Leash pulling
· Charging at other animals
· Jumping on people
· Eating off the counter
· Rushing in or out of the door
· Stealing food from other animals

One thing we like to focus on is socialization. Socialization is one of the major keys to success when it comes to dog training. Your dog should be able to interact with people and other dogs in a positive way for the safety of others and for their own safety. We give dogs we are working with plenty of opportunities for socialization, and we arrange distractions during training to ensure their focus.

Group Classes

You and your dog can join our Group Training program once the initial day camp training has been completed. Here, your dog will be meeting other fellow dogs. All of these sessions shall take place in a well-monitored, controlled environment.

During the course of training, we will gradually increase distractions to watch and study how your dog reacts in a particular situation. Based on the analysis, we will make necessary changes in the training routine to ensure that your dog gets effective training.

We believe that we can develop your dog’s character when they come face to face with external environmental factors instead of putting them in the four corners of a room. We make sure to put these classes in various dog-friendly parks, beaches, and other venues to roam freely.

As a dog owner, you can also make the best use of this session. You’ll be meeting other fellow dog owners where you can learn from their experiences, and you can share some of yours too.

Pack Leadership Training

There is always a leader in a dog pack—even if the pack only consist of your dog, your family members and you. Your dog will always want to know where they are in the chain of command and if they feel like you aren’t taking the leadership role, they’ll step in.

Dogs don’t think the same way as humans. This is important to keep in mind. While you may want to treat your dog like a buddy, they want to either treat you like a leader or a follower. For the sake of your home, your dog, and your sanity, you’ll want to ensure you are in the position of “leader” and not “follower.”

Our Leadership Program

Our leadership program focuses on confidence, sternness, calmness, and strength. You don’t need to yell or even raise your voice to get your dog to listen. Instead, you need to act like a leader—which is what we teach our clients. Your dog can feel your energy, and if you project confidence they will follow you. From there, training your dog is a much easier process.
